Would S-Video Cables improve quality on an old crappy TV?

Short Answer - Yes.

Long Answer - You'll most likely notice better color separation which will result in a sharper image. However, don't expect anything spectacular.

Yes. If your TV has S-video then by all means use it.

There is a noticable difference between component and S-video. You will definetly get better detail and deeper blacks

To be honest I doubt you will notice any difference. S-Video is only slightly better than Composite and of a TV that size it's not going to be worth the £££/$$$ - I would spend the cash on Beer.

Yea, the TV definitely has an S-Video input. Its a pretty standard CRT TV. It works fine and has a decent picture.

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'll give S-Video a try when Best Buy releases the cheap React brand cables.
