Xbox Live

EA uses their own servers but it doesn't mean that you don't have to pay to play online. Silver is free with every account that is created and it lets you do is download some free demos and other crap. Gold is to play online. Period.
 
ah yes, EA nation. i dont think EA has the right to chose wether to charge for online play or not, i'm pretty sure Microsoft controls that. but even if they didnt EA probably wouldnt chose to make it free.

Getting the Gold Account for $50 each year is the most logical thing to do for a 360 user. For the quality of the online n the games, it's worth every penny.
 
Gold is the way to go.
You can't do anything on Silver.
