For the quality of XBox Live and a wide variety of great games, the XBox 360 is definitely worth your money. You probably know this, but XBox Live is $49.99 (£39 UK) a year. Some games I would suggets include:

Test Drive: Unlimited
Halo 3 (M Rated)
Gears of War (M Rated)
BioShock (M Rated)
Forza Motorsports 2
