A Clue On the super smash bros site!

Supposition

ok so your saying that both of the sticks on the camecube are both control sticks? plus, thats not wat they said. they clearly said "THE control stick", not "the other" or "a", so ur wrong

Yes and I said why they would use "The control stick" instead of "a control stick" or "the other control stick" even if there where two, because one is superfluous and the other dosn't scan. My point was merely (and I feel that we can both agree on this) that unlike the first posters supposition the news post does not show that the GC controller and ONLY the GC controller can be used.

Also, Skippy congratulations by being repped by both sides, you deserve it.

Finally Crovax (I too like MTG  ) at least me and Shoko are having a interesting and well reasoned debate (don’t laugh) due to out equal love of Smash Brothers (When this game comes out Shoko I hope to play you online), your possibly spamish picture post added nothing to the discussion.

Finally I would like to congratulate myself on 100 obnoxious, egotistical and inflammatory posts. Because I can.

cant you read? look at the discussion above, is one of those sticks called the control stick? uuhhh... NO
You people are so naive. Just because it doesnt say Control Stick or Control or C or w/e on it, doesnt mean they cant give it the job of a cube control stick of the game. For all we know, Ninty could switch the a and b moves to mess with us.

Furthermore, this information proves very little, other than the game being compatable with the gamecube controller, which we already knew. I say this because it would be possible for nintendo to change the control options on the wii-remote/nunchuk combo to suit the few weapons that use this feature.

Actually it doesn’t prove that it's compatible with the GC controller... It doesn’t prove it's not compatible with the GC controller.

The only thing it “proves” is you can’t use just the wiimote (which everyone had already assumed) and that people can and will argue for 4 pages about what does and does not constitute a “control stick”. Or indeed what is the one true control stick worthy of being called THE control stick. In fairness I accept partial blame for this.

^Im pretty sure we all knew that if the wii remote were compatable with Brawl, than it would have to have its nunchuk buddy plugged in.

That's why I said everybody had already assumed that ;)

Oh Sakurai, why must you tease us so... but we love you anyway, because you are the harbinger of brawl.

All praise to Sakurai!

^It makes me wonder if he purposely wrote it like that. Knowing that some forumer would pick up the hint/misleading detail and spread it worldwide. Therefore keeping people's interest in the title (as if we would lose interest).

I was wondering that myself, but somehow I think it's just a lucky coincident.

Also best of luck bulking up! I'll be rooting for you...

Thanks man, you have no idea how much the support helps.

I would rep you but apparently I need to share the love

omg some people are just morons. Control Sticks? I cant believe somebody said that one of the sticks on the Classic control was a control stick and the other wasnt lol. They are both control sticks also known as analog sticks and damn if you read you might guess that the firecracker launcher keeps shooting by itself rapidly so you dont have to worry about shooting jus jump and aim. Plus what do you call the Nunchuck....its the control stick of the wii so this says nothing for sure

Im confused, what would the item firing by itself accomplish. Not having to press the A button? That doesnt solve the mystery of how the wii remote will cope with lacking dual sticks.

It seems that 'Nintendo secretly implementing motion sensing controls' is still the most logical answer, as illogical as it may be...
