Arceus Has Been Officially Announced!!

I really like arceus except that i don't like how he can only be single typed. Cmon it would have been sick if u could combine plates

DRK/GHO

But Judgement wouldnt exist.

Judgement could exist while dual-typing Arceus. When "fusing" plates, using some kind of key item, you can designate the main type. Judgement then uses that type instead of the other. Simple, yeah? ..That'd never happen though. Then Arceus would probably be way overpowered.

I still say there should be more types. Wind/Beast/Light/etc. or even customizable abilities. Reincarnation?

We were discussing new types in the pokemon social group awhile ago, and light came up instantly. Beast/Wind, not so much.. Wind is basically flying in a different name, but beast.. hmmm, a possible hypothetical type to consider. Not sure how pokemon would fall into such a type though.

Tauros? Pachirisu? Ambipom? Furret? (Need I go on?)
Nah, flying types can be resistant to wind, but the same thing, I say they are not. I think wind would make a logical 2nd type for Suicune (although it may ruin his usability)
Birds that are FLY/NRM (a lot of them) can have dual typing w/wind like Swellow and Pidgeot (Noctowl should have been DRK/FLY imo)
Chimecho (spell?) spells wind.

There should be an option where we can choose a pokemon (likely from the dex) and decide on a style of sprite to view in battle and your oponent can view your favorite version of your pokemon.
Ex: You choose to view and have your oponents view the Pokemon Yellow version of Mewtwo instead of the current.
They can add new looks for the newer pokes and animation for the older pokes as well.

Another idea is having an option to interact with your friends in the free-roaming version of the game (as long as you have a connection) and the return of deep-sea diving and bases from Ruby/Saphire dammit!

Point taken. Beast types are certainly a possibility.. A bit clonish to normal type IMO, but hey, normal types are often out classed anyways. Might give them a boost.

Point taken again, that'd actually be an interesting type to add. The fact that there's no single-typed flyers out there was brought up in the social group awhile ago. Rather than losing normal typing, adding Wind would certainly be plausible.

..Doesn't shoddy support something like that? Or was it Netbattle.. I can't remember, but one of them did. That'd be an interesting feature, it'd surely stir up memories of some classic sprites.

Me and Nick made an entire thread about things of that nature involving other player interactions, even a two player storyline along with the normal, single player one.. Such a shame it failed rather early in it's life time. It was a great thread too.

And yes, bring back RSE's diving mechanics! DX Very fun times underwater.. One of the best single-generation-only mechanics put into the game. ..You should be able to speed up though, otherwise in DP, you'd be moving at a snails pace. ..I wonder how my event thread turned into this?

We should also be able to make custom clothes/hair/etc for our main chars. Only having an option of gender is getting boring.

A game where you can choose which country to start in would be nice.
Say you wanna start in Joto (can't remember proper spelling) then you can choose to visit other continents and obtain legendary pokes via the originall way.
That would put a necissary end to the "importing" business.

Having custom trainer cards would be cool.

Bringing back diving would:
A) Make me sqwee
B) Make the dive ball practical again

A game of this magnitude may require the power of the Wii instead of the DS, but I don't want them to make it 3D. Sprites
are best for Pokemon.

What was the topic of this thread again?

Customizing characters has been customed to RPGs for a long while, whether it be alternate costumes or what not. I'm sure everyone'd love a customizable character.

..Ofcourse it'd be nice. We all dream of the game that features this. Not like it'd ever happen.. Damn you Nintendo.. Starting in whatever region you choose and wild pokes/trainers changing accordingly would be awesome sauce..

Yes, yes it would be. That stupid drawing on the back of your trainer card doesn't cut it.

I doubt the game would be small enough to fit in a regular DS game.. You're right, it'd probably have to be a Wii game. It'd be weird to have it 2D instead of 3D on a console, but that's how it should be. Besides, motion/wiimote controls would work better in 2D. Things would be simpler, after all.

..The topic? Who gives a damn.

Ofcourse he's going to be released in North America, he'll be released worldwide. Manaphy, Darkrai, and Shaymin all were distributed through movie events in Japan, while in the US they were all given out through Toys R Us. It's obvious Arceus will go the same way and have a Toys R Us event around the same time the 12th movie comes out over here.

One thing I don't want returned are the ****ing phones from GSC.
I don't wanna be chaining a poke or trying to concentrate on something else and constantly be interrupted by:
"*BEEP* *BEEP*
Such and such is calling me!
"Hello? Fox" Guess what!? I'm bothering you for no reason! Please nail my face to a ceiling fan!"
*CLICK*

UGH!

Lol, that's precisely why they got rid of the pokenav and junk for just a Vs. seeker in DP, it'd ruin chaining. I will admit, those constants calls are annoying as hell. It seems like every time I save in a pokemon center on emerald and walk out a few steps, someone calls me.

That would really ****ing suck if they ever did bring those phonecalls back, in the form of whatever key item and they did interupt a chain, making it fail. Game freak made a smart move for once. It makes you realise how awesome DP is, and how much more epic Platinum will be.

You know, they should really bring back more gambling games from like Emerald, such as the roulette. I fuxing love gambling, real money or not. ..And I'm too cheap to spend money on a game made only for gambling.

There's always a casino.

A way to chain aquatic pokes and pokes in caves/buildings/etc would be sweet.
Anyone agree that all legendaries should have their own moves?
Like, Heatran. He should have at least gotten Sacred Fire.
Mewtwo should get a move called IRULEYOURWORLDANDYOUWILLBOWTOMENOWORIWILLFIREMAHLAZER!!!

Also, the return of MISSINGNO and a way to catch wild versions of starters.

Well, ofcourse there's always a casino. I meant the original gambling games in emerald, basically the roulette wheel and the card flipping game. Fun times.. Slots bore the **** out of me, I like real gambling junk. ..Too bad pokemon will never have blackjack.

A simple way for chaining pokes in buildings/water/etc. would be whatever area a poke is in, it'l shine in variable, but very identifiable degrees, also with different shine movement patterns. For water, a patch of black that looks like a diving spot, but round could appear. The blacker and larger it is, the more rare the poke. If a poke is ever shiny, the black spot will shine brightly for water, and in other non-grass areas, the shinning lasts twice as long as any other shine and is very rapid. Sensible, yeah?

Legendaries should definatly get their own special move. Every legendary has a "signature" move, but isn't necesarily the only poke that can learn it. A good example would be Groudon's Eruption(..which isn't even that good for a Groudon).

Missingno. still exists in a sense, just not labeled "Missingno.". ..I don't feel like fuxing up my game anyways. I think poke radaring the starters would be a perfect way to obtain the rest, yeah? They'd certainly be rare, ofcourse.
