In conclusion, if there was anything wrong with multiple threads with the same topic, then they would set up a list of possible topics to choose from along with a request a topic form and then once a topic is used up it won't be able to be used again... and then maybe a new way of browsing the forum would be in order.
but as it is, there doesn't seem to be any problem with multiple threads of the same topic, what if two people have different things to say about the same thing and they want it to be read, because posting at the end of page 5 on an old post rarely gets real attention or starts a new conversation because everyone who sees the post bumped back up will get distracted by the starting post and the rest of the threads rather than what the guy who bumped it wanted to say, which is a newer thing compared to all the old topics on a different thread
