A seirous topic by me

Just askin whats better
Never used paint shop
The gimp makes simple things a task (adding text, movein things)
and the others (Paint, paint.net are good but are limeted in what they can do)

So what do you think is better

Holy crap we can do polls now?

*schemes an evil spam-related scheme*

Purchase Photoshop.
Prinny have you got a Tablet out of interest? Or all your works done via mouse? 'cause could be helpful..
I actually "purchased" (lol) Photoshop before I ever even heard of GIMP. Nowadays, I actually prefer GIMP.

If I had the choice to use either, I would always choose GIMP.

Yes I do have a art pad thing

Only I and mods can do vote threads(avoidin the gag about doing polls)

Resion why im askin -
I try to add text in gimp and it wont let me move it or make the text bigger
Ware as in every other (ie the other two) programs I got I can do allsorts

And the fact that Gimp isnt exactly user freindly

What the hell are you talking about? Of course you can resize text in GIMP.

It's easy as hell

Did do

But still
Its not easy to move stuff around just by hilightin it and dragin it

Hate Paintshop Pro, never used GIMP before. But I've always used Photoshop for general image editing & signatures, plus it's a snap for animated .gifs..

Works great and it's easy to use in my opinion.

Same here. I started my GFX hobby using Photoshop and I shall remain faithful until the day I die.
But seriously, PS is so easy to use and can produce some fantastic results.

Why are those two the only options? What happened to Photoshop, their biggest competitor. I find it the most organized and most support-given program out there.

THE CAKE IS A LIE! i have that as my background
what is gimp? is it free? i might look into it.

I've never used Paint or GIMP.
When it comes to GFX (which is rare for me), I use Adobe Photoshop CS. I'm not very skilled with it though. Only cropping, text and borders.

I think Gimp is the best. It is often said that it's as powerful and maybe even better than photoshop, and also it's free. ;)
There're many other free photo editing programs you can try.

Try Paint.NET (that's what the program is called, not the website)
here's the link
