Corocoro revealed Diancie recently, and somefin came to my attention.

Let's inspect its stats.

HP: ABSURDLY low for a legendary. A base 60 HP Pokemon's HP at lv. 100 can go as low as 230, meaning that Diancie has to have something lower than 60. Sounds a lot like Carbink, who has base 50 HP.

Attack: I'm estimating about 100, much more than Carbink's base 50 attack

Defense: Calcs show that, assuming no EV's, it's probably really close to Carbink's base 150. I'm assuming that there are few EV's, if any, for any of these stats.

Sp. Attack: Same as attack

Sp. Defense: Same as defense

Speed: Calcs show it to probably be close to Carbink's base 50

Assuming that my prediction of 50/100/150/100/150/50 is correct (it probably is), that brings the BST to 600, also known as one of the most common BST's for a legendary. There's also the very notable design similarities, the shared typing....at this point I'm nearly convinced that Diancie IS some sort of "super Carbink".

I will no doubt purchase another once i stop having currency problems, but until then, i sit as a retire-ee and knowledge giver as well as team rater for the time being... That's the most horrible thing I can imagine... It's been going well. Not really, but let's pretend it has been. If you mean just Pokemon stuff, I completed my national dex, and that's the only super relevant thing I can think of.

Clearer images of CoroCoro have been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about Diancie. Specifically, it reveals that Diancie's ability is Clear Body

Yeah, the Carbink theory is essentially confirmed at this point imo.
