That's better. :p

A good point actually. It's quite obviously a weak bit of story they could'a done without, but they stuck to it anyways 'n justify it with this.

Thus, an imminent question: were they planning to handle some of these things in sequels/follow-ups/whatever? Vincent's story was so lacking in information in-game but obviously plot relevant, though not necessary.

Essentially the question is, "were some elements of certain characters (particularly Vincent and Zack) intentionally ambiguous?". I'm not sure how anyone would go 'bout gettin' an answer for that, though I would assume yes since there's such an insane amount of stuff pertainin' to FF7 that came forth after the game's release, notably Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.

Not really. The Metal Gear Solid series had plenty of unanswered question that were finally wrapped up in MGS4. However, rather than making it feel like the game was incomplete, one never felt that the story elements were lacking. Same with Half Life, if Valve were to ever release Episode 3.

Ain't familiar with either examples, so ya've lost me.

Regardless, I'm still confident the lack of information for Vincent and Zack's background story outside of a sequel and prequel respectively, was intentional.

Think I'm going to break down and download the Harley's Revenge DLC for Arkham City next paycheck.

Played FFXII again after not playing for a good while. Got back into the swing of things very quickly.

Made my way to King Raithwall's tomb, tried to fight the very first demon wall but failed terribly and ended up in a fight with the non-optional demon wall with a crap ton of debuffs and low health. Fortunately that wall is like fighting a normal enemy only with 11K health. Nice and easy for my relatively under leveled party. Back tracked and proceeded to grind some gil for Reflect and Aero on all my party members and grinded some LP. Taught Vaan, Basch and Fran their first two Quickenings and decided it was time to fight the optional Demon Wall. Chained about 10 quickenings leaving the wall with about 7000 health left. Switched to my Reflect, Aero party members and proceeded to spam Aero everywhere. After a few seconds the wall came down and I got the ability to access the hidden section of the tomb. A few restarts later if the hidden chest didn't contain Demonblade and i've got my hands on the strongest weapon I can access at this point in the game.

Hope the enemies in the tomb can tank 59 Attack Power as well as Vaan's current Strength stat of 34 (Level 17).

Played some Revelations while waitin' for the router to stop derpin', and it was a grand session for once. All but the first two Escort matches had few rage quitters (who were replaced by the end of a round), were full lobbies at one point, and had a good amount of prestiged players. One match contained only a single non-prestiged player, even. Intensely competitive Escort is fun Escort. :D

The most hilarious thing happened early in the session, too. One of my team mates assassinated the last VIP of the first two, and all the players gathered 'round, ready to get smoked. So my moving crowd approached givin' me cover and a free stun. Smoke, and that's three more stuns. I'm 'bout to run and even get away, but the guy with Resistance who got up accidentally spammed the kill button 'n murdered a civilian. So I ran back and stunned 'em for FIVE in a row.

Then, one of 'em ground finished my dead team mate by accident. Free stun #2. And then another killed a civi; I'm up to seven stuns in a ****in' row. I mute, get ANOTHER stun. One of the people in the crowd was a level 21 n00b so I got ONE MORE free stun. xD Another accidental ground finish, another free stun, giving me a total of 10 ****in' stuns in a row.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

I was laughin' hysterically at the time, and chuckling throughout the rest of the match. I mean ****, Ten stuns. That's 2,000 right there. Then there's 8 knock outs for another 800. Two lures for 200. I had silent streak +550 as my streak, and got it twice, so add on another +1,100. Variety came up somewhere along the line, so +200. I got a completely free 4,300 points at that moment. T'was awesome. I didn't even get a kill yet, and I had quadruple their entire team's score.

Best moment I've ever had in AC:R. Second time I broke 10,000 in an Escort game while facing players that aren't ass-terrible level 10s. A truly strange change of pace today. I got exceedingly lucky, and that luck didn't dry up even when met with a ton of high level Templars.

Random pub players vs moderator and his online group. With more than half the team as w+m1 pyros, they fell. Dunno if they were just bad, or if me top scoring as puff n sting pyro meant something. There was also a civilian spy for some reason, even though a patch last year supposedly removed it.

Warriors Ocochi 2.
How I hate/love you.

Escort was as always: easy 'n me dominating the 1st place slot. Though, for some reason I can't decipher, my connection's been havin' a bit of annoyin' lag lately. I'm not used to my own internet havin' speed problems, so I'm miss-timing my Mutes like nothin' else... If this were Manhunt, I'd be missing half my stuns. ;_;

Playing koth_harvest. Then I see this Widowmaker engie with 2 pocket medics. When some of us took them out, they told the mods to votekick me. Turns out he was a VIP player. When I asked why, they it was because I used gunslinger engie on harvest. So instead I switch to Soldier. I go up to the second floor where enemy snipers like to perch. I kill some snipers, they accuse me of spawn camping even if I wasn't at there spawn. Money is quite a powerful thing in player servers.

Sore losers be sore. Speakin' of uppity fools like that, while playin' a quick session of Escort some random lv. 14 sore winner threw a tauntin' message my way attempting to insult me for "losing" to a n00b like him. Considering I had more than two thirds of his score after joining and playing in just the low-scoring round, and nearly won back the entire game on my own through said single round, it's no wonder he hastily quit the lobby as soon as he sent the message.

The past couple of areas in Xenoblade have been fairly dull. They could've made it much better with what they were working with. Music is just as great as before. Gamelplay is more complex and story is more evolved. The possibly last boss is across the area. Maybe I'm near the end.

I just angrily reply, call them smelly bastards and what not and end the message with "Enjoy your block ya shiter".

FFXII last night was good for a 7 hour session, managed to get Fran my DPS up to about level 27, got another Demonsbane which I gave to Basch and is still the strongest weapon I have access to right now. Having Larsa as a guest in your party, as weak and fragile he is his utility more then makes up for it in the sense that unlimited hi-potions is more then enough inspiration to tell my white mage who I gave this role to Ashe for can get to hell. Ended up leveling Penelo up a bit whose my Black mage. Still having a Gil problem as in, constantly being broke.

Beat four bosses in one sitting too.
Belias who is now an Esper for Ashe, Vossler who betrays you and the Ring wyrm and mad grassy Wyrm thingy. Larsa's unlimited supply of Hi-potions was more then useful on the Wyrm bosses.
