Fallout no longer seems to work. At least, for the past day or so.

Trying Persona 3. Hopefully, I won't turn into Rocker in the process. I like the anime art style though.

I've been too addicted to competitive Pokemon recently...

For some reason I'm not seeing the bottom part of your post. WiiChat agrees that your opinion is invalid.

wtf it disappeared 4 me 2

In other news, I'm not good enough at my preferred playstyles. My favorite game mode is Artifact Assault, but it seems like I'm a better Domination player... Worse still, I'm definitely better at AA Defense than Offense. Literally no thieves get by me unless I make a free running error (which tends t' happen at least once a match, at the worst time...). When it comes t' Offense, I ain't good enough at fancy footwork t' dodge, dip, duck, STAB Dive 'n dodge all'a my pursuers. I did manage a pretty slick escape (which resulted in a score) on one'a the premier defenders earlier t'day, but it's not like I've practiced that junk.

Perhaps I just need t' actually practice Offense... Defense doesn't really need practice since it's far more strategical, whereas Offense is all about avoiding pursuers, map knowledge, and to a degree, luck.

DOOMRL.

Its great when I get a good run going.
Its bad when I die

Competitive Pokemon is really hard for us hipsters. With games based on skill more then strategy, your skill level matters more then the units/weapons/etc you're using, and you can be really good with even shitty weapons (well, sometimes). But in Pokemon, it's really hard to use quite a few Pokemon to good success. I consider myself better then most competitive battlers [strike]especially when it comes to acting older then seven years old[/strike], yet when in practice I only preform slightly above average. This is because I can't stand using Pokemon I don't like, and I enjoy trying out strange and unique sets. These almost never work, though.

[STRIKE]SO HE ADMITS IT![/STRIKE]

Indeed. When it comes down to the nitty gritty in competitive gaming, the tools you've to work your skill with really are just as important as said skill. No one wins AC:III tournaments by using Money Bomb, Decoy and Disruption. Top'a the class Ubers teams are never composed solely or even mostly of non-ubers. Sub-par strategies ya intend t' have fun with might win ya battles with randoms, but in tournaments? Not so much.

I'm sure ya now understand why my teams end up the way they are. I've always slammed on the gas t' drive on towards victory, even in my humble competitive beginnings of Emerald's Battle Frontier, and that's 'cause havin' fun usin' my favorites ain't enough. I wanted victory as well... and sometimes ya can't have both.
