You can't really expect shinies from the GTS not to be hacked. I suggest an IV check first, to check if the IVs aren't outrageous.

Well that doesn't help since I don't know nature or IVs... but it seems legit enough since no stat is glaring out as highly IVed.

Yeah OK, doesn't look hacked to me. Make sure if it has Dragon Dance or Pursuit that it is in a pokeball.
