NES Play Action Football (NES®, 1-4 players, rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): "Ready! Hut hut hut..." Nintendo takes to the gridiron with the classic football powerhouse NES Play Action Football. Featuring a distinct overhead viewpoint that creates an almost 3-D field, the action is more simulation-based than many of the more arcade-based games of the time. Play through four 15-minute quarters (in accelerated time) and even substitute players when your first-stringers get tired. Want more options? Each of the eight available teams has multiple running/passing plays to choose from while on offense, as well as a wide selection of defensive schemes that can be run when you're on the other side of the ball. And in addition to viewing two full teams on the screen at once without any slowdown, you'll hear voice snippets at key points of the game. Line up, and see if you have what it takes to win the Power Bowl.

Sonic the Hedgehog™ 3 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone – Comic Mischief, 800 Wii Points): Sonic and Tails are back for another adventure as they again battle the evil Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik), who is desperately trying to collect all the Chaos Emeralds to rebuild his Death Egg. Our heroes must again find the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Eggman does, but winning the race won't be easy this time – a new adversary, Knuckles the Echidna, has arrived on the scene and will do whatever he can to keep Sonic and Tails from reaching their goal. Grab all the golden rings, find various bonus zones and overcome Knuckles and Dr. Eggman as you rocket through the third chapter in Sonic's adventures.

Neutopia II (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, rated E for Everyone – Mild Fantasy Violence, 600 Wii Points): Experience improved graphics and controls in this exciting sequel to the action role-playing game Neutopia. Take on the role of the main hero's son and watch as the story begins with the apparent revival of Dirth, the evil demon. Once again you'll need to rely on your magic compass and the information you've gathered to find entrances to labyrinths and defeat the bosses in them. Make your way through the field, which can be tricky at times, to search for and find hidden information and items, or move blocks and destroy walls to uncover secret rooms. Like the original, this game has a save function, a finely tuned difficulty level and a fast-paced story, making it truly an RPG that everyone can enjoy.

It kinda sux that some of these games they release are already able to be played on Wii as a gamecube game like Zelda, sonic, ect...

Damnit! those assholes.......they could have given us Super Tecmo Bowl, not this **** nobody ever played. (im talking only about the football game here).

And they obviously did this on opening football weekend, which just shows you that they really are the devil and strategicly place all these games, which means the are purposely giving us SHITE week after week....(one week Im all positive and the next Im in an uproar).
Maybe its because I am sunburnt as hell from watching my team lose yesterday and Im pissed.

I mean, I would give it a shot, but I can already guess it sucks......All of the 4 player games really blew, its like they rushed them out just for the NES Satelite.
The only good 4 player NES was Gauntlet II and Super SPike Vball. Also, you hear adults to this day RAVE about Tecmo Bowl when they were younger.....this game (Italian accent) not-a so much-a. Never heard anyone talk about it EVER. Time to emu.

They should either give us Tecmo Super bowl (oh wait, I see, they will make us wait until the actual super bowl to hype up sales.....sigh).....or dont give us any football game at all. Maybe Madden '92 for SNES. Whats next, 10-yard fight?

oh yeah....you guys should get sonic collection for game cube....Ive said this like 10000 times, but it keeps paying off for me, like today.....I can just pop in sonic 3 if I want.

Would you have liked 10-Yard Fight better

Most sports games are complete garbage. It's the only genre I avoid as much as possible. Sonic is a nice addition. Still waiting for Cadash on the TG-16. A must for 2 player RPG fans. Heck, it's fun with 1 player. Just beware it's initial learning curve.

it's not a good idea to make different threads each WEEK!!! why not just make a wii update thread for crying out loud. :mad5:

I'm perfectly happy with new threads each week. There's no real way to do it otherwise. There are always discussions following each announcement and if we had it all in one thread you'd have to sift through 30 pages of chit-chat to find out what the new games are this week. Not to mention the fact you'd have people talking about month old games in the middle of the "new" game discussion. It makes a lot more sense to make a new thread each week.

Well put, I was just gonna say, suck my ****........

Who are you exactly?

Hey guys.....I think that Gradius sucks........oh they released that in '06? Oh, ok. Nevermind. What? Everyone knows you cant save ghost data on Mario Kart 64? Well, when are they gonna release RARE games because they have Diddy Kong? Did anyone else notice a delay in the controls on Punch Out? Seems one second behind.....OH! I have a question about Occarina of Time.........just kidding, you should dig up that thread if you really want to read for a long time......anyhow, **** TG-16......DAMN! I bought the champinship edition.....

It pisses me off when someone that ive never seen before on a VC discussion uses the mad5 emoticon, willy nilly....to express how much they dont like us enjoying ourselves, :mad5:

Go Jaguars!

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shitty games imo, sonic is alright though

This week felt half assed. :(

1) Sports games don't age well, EA's based it's entire business plan on that fact.

2) Sonic 3 is a great game, but it's only half a game. The other half is Sonic and Knuckles. Still, it's worth buying one and hoping they release the other.

3) Neutopia is a zelda clone, only you know... not as fun. It's alot easier to beat though, which is good since there's no save system. :wtf: It uses very, very complicated passwords.

Neutopia has a save system. Just use the "file cabinet" when you get a password. And I'd say Neutopia is just as fun as Zelda.

But yeah, Sonic 3 is not as good without its other half.
