costume changes and suits

look at todays nintendo conference video. you see samus in the fusion suit. could this lead to characters having different suit changes????

I'll try to post what it says it's kinda fuzzy.

Samus(Fussion Suit)
During exploration of SR388. Samus is infected by an X parasite and nearly dies. A vacaine created from Metroid saves her, but her suit turns blue and most of it's abilities and weapons. This way Samus must regather her special abilities and fight to neutralize the threat of the X parasite in the space station ran by Bdegie Space Labaratories.

So yeah that doesn't confirm much. That would be a cool alternate costume though.
