Yes, I'm pretty sure its been delayed so long so they could add multiplayer.

From what I have read they aren't looking at putting multiplayer in, to increase gameplay value. Which makes sense because the general feeling was that Metroid Prime II Multiplayer sucked big time.

metroid prime didnt have multiplayer (very early gamecube game)
metroid prime 2: echoes DID have multiplayer...and nintendo wouldnt take anything away :yesnod:

and after the huge success of metroid prime hunters (ds) i think the multiplayer may even be wifi
