I have a good idea for a new concept for playing Wii Virtual Console games:

How about "Virtual Console To Go" for the Nintendo DS?

It would let you play your Wii's Virtual Console games on your Nintendo DS
Using the supplied Wii software disc (as well as the DS's main "Virtual Console To Go" software cartridge) and a wireless communication, you can move (but not copy) your Wii's Virtual Console games onto the DS's software cartridge so that you can play the games on the go!

Multiplayer will be fully supported for all multiplayer virtual console titles (all players each need a Virtual Console To Go cartridge, but only one person needs to have the game on his or her cartridge! ) Also, The Touch Screen would come handy for games that use special controllers (such as the Zapper, Powe Pad, Super Scope, Menacer et al) !

Its a nice idea but it has its fair share of complications when it comes to the actual product though. Still a very cool idea.
