DVdii...?

I heard the Wii has a DVD drive. I tried sticking a Dvd into it.

Nada.

If anything, I think I screwed it up, a little.

Umm... how can I watch my Dvdii's without moving one into my room?

Apparently it can't play DVD movies but it can play other types (not sure though). Can someone confirm / explain this?

edit: I originally thought it couldn't play any DVDs at all, but my source was from the 101 FAQs thread.

Yes, software updates for DVD is a possibility in the future, as it is a dvd drive, i believe.
