Guitar Hero III Delay

Hey guys. I just bought guitar hero III, and i'm having a bit of trouble. I started playing and when I press anything i have a very small delay, but although being very small, it is causing me to miss most of the notes most of the time. Can anyone give me ideas of how to fix this? Id love some feedback. Thanks

This still doesn't help, as i have played the same game on X-Box 360 with a wired guitar and it didn't have any delay so its not getting used to it or anything. I still need help
