Why don't the USB ports accept mp3 players, flash drives, or cameras?

Ask Nintendo? They just didn't put software in to recognize them.

Yeah, Wii doesn't have a media thing, maybe in the future we will see something for those. However if you have an iPod you can still charge it on your Wii, its not great but it comes in handy if your computer is not around/in use etc.

Yeah, as of right now, the only thing the USB slots are good for is hooking up a keyboard.
