Ive a Wii and a Nin DS and i want to go online with both of them. (cuz just bought MSCF for wii)
Now:
- ive not got wireless internet connection, so thats no option to get online.

- My wii is on top floor of my house comp with xp installed is two floors down, i dont think Wi-Fi could contact with my wii cuz itd have to go thru 2 ceilings and
6 meters up. Could it work or too much distance?

Sooo, are there any other options to get my wii online?

Thanks

Hi

if you bought the nintendo wifi USb dongle, there's no reason
why it *shouldn't* connect to the xp machine downstairs.

wireless can be affected by other devices in the house such as
tv's, microwaves, DECT phones, radiators and double glazing.

another option is to get hold of the nintendo LAN adaptor which
also connects to the rear of the Wii via USB. you could then get a
couple of "home plugs" which are ethernet devices which plug directly
into your electrical sockets / outlets. in effect, they use the electric
mains to transfer the network data around your house.

you would need 2 of these...one near the xp machine and one near
the Wii.

alternatively, either get a wireless router, or get a wired router and
run ethernet cable up to the Wii.

Thanks you for your reply,

So what youre saying is that a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector stuck in my xp 2 floors down can connect with my wii through 2 ceilings?

The cable idea wouldnt come out too handy :s 6+ meters of cable god...

there's no reason why it shouldn't.

maybe best to have a look on the nintendo site to see if there's
a maximum transmission distance for it?
