if the game was different what would wii be?

i was wondering. if the gamecube had been a success and included 3rd party games and tinternet connection, would the wii been a completely different console? i mean the feature of the wii is its controller which is the big thing about it. nintendo did this to win people back because of the GC failure. would the wii of been different if the GC triumphed?

I would imagine so. It would almost certainly have been more technologically advanced, probably with HD support, and I guess it the Wii would have been even more geared toward online play (like the 360 is).

If that was the case, the next gen system would of been called N² or even N³, in which the controllers would look similar to the Wavebirds and there would be a premium console and a core package. As the premium includes a hard drive and dvd capabilities, while the core package has no hard drive and a lesser dvd player. The system would of ran a price for 349.99 Premium and 249.99 as the Core price.
