Second Thoughts about Wii

yeh i have a 360 i like it, its not amazing but its good. i really want a wii, more pumped about it then when i was waiting for the 360. thats only down to one thing though, and it begins with Z ;)

All you hear about the Xbox 360 and PS3 is graphics, graphics, graphics. What else is there to talk about? So what if you can watch DVDs and listen to CDs on them. That's why i bought a DVD and CD player about 10 YEARS AGO!

The PS3 and Xbox 360 have so many add-ons these days that they're classed as entertainment or multimedia centres. So in reality, Nintendo is the only game console on the market, and therefore wins the console wars!

And when your Xbox or PS can do something new or that hasn't been done before, then you can talk about it. If not, shut up, we've seen it all before.

Peace out Wii'ers

I see where you're coming from, but give it some time. There's a lot of good games coming up and the online capabilities will develop. The xbox didn't launch with a mature online system - it took MS some time to get that going. N may be late to the table, but I think if folks give them some time, they'll come through. So, as more features and VC titles mature, there will be more reason to change your mind.

To be honest, if N wasn't working on so much for the Wii, I don't think I'd have bought it.
Ah man, I remember the early days of XBox Live... After my first trial I asked myself "Why would I pay for this?"

The day the Wii throws away friend codes, ups it's graphics, supports online play with VOIP, and has some serious titles... that is the day serious gamers will take it... uh, serious. As of right now, the Wii is a great second console to have some fun with... but if I owned only the Wii, I would be one really pissed off hardcore gamer.

Since when where games not about having fun...

Games arnt about being hardcore, or what games looks the best, people play games to have fun not look at pretty pictures... if we all wanted to stare at pretty pictures all day we would look at porn not a high res, dead or alive girls..

People play games to have fun, if you dont have fun whats the point... and thats why wii will come out on top.

I respect ppl's desicion when they say ps3 or 360 is better than wii.... but first i was gettin a ps3 no matter what, i had like 900 saved just for it. the graphics are nice ... i had a 360 and man... it was really nice. but.. one day i did a search about wii to see what it looks like and i found myself in us.wii.com or wii.us.com (either one) and as soon as i saw just 1 video i said...... man i gotta get a wii. now i have it and yes im still gettin a ps3.....
next year maybe... wii is more physical than just sitting in my ass growing up in size lol... and make me play together with my wife.... so if anyone dont like the wii... i respect their desicion but.. i love my wii and prepare yourself to see something similar from wii controllers on ps3 or 360.

to be honest, i was getting tired of game consoles before the wii came out...the only thing new with every console is better graphics, a few different games, and old games with better improvements.

After awhile i just said F it i'm gonna just play computer games instead. But the wii came out and tried that, and whoa, totally different...never played a console like that before...u move and the character moves.

i think that's what got me hooked...the difference it was compared to old systems.

and yeah, graphics aren't as great as ps3 and xbox 360...it's hard for me to get certain games on wii cuz i see the graphics on the box and all I can see is the crapiness...but some games arent' that bad, and the motion thing kinda helps make up for it in a way :)

ps3 already has motion sensing, it just isn't nearly as well developed. And considering that xbox nor ps3 has any games in production to do anything that similar to what the wiimote does, it would have to be a long while.

Ditto, I hadn't owned a console in years, which was a gamecube i sold. I had played ps2 and xbox/xbox360 but didn't really care about console gaming. The only gaming I did was on the PC. Then I saw what the wii was all about.

i'm pretty sure the next gen consoles are all gonna be motion-sensored...wii is the first of it's kind....the ps3 has motion sensing, but yeah, like someone said, it's not nearly as developed...the next systems will prolly all have sensors around the room so u can move more freely....it's the next new technology. just makes sense to use it. :)

ummmm can someone please let me know something about the wii graphics cause when i tell my mates im getting a wii they tell me the graphics are not good can someone let me know are the graphics as good as the gamecube graphics or worse

My PC only runs a 6600GT from Asus. Not an overwehlmingly powerful card, but I can pull 25fps on Oblivion with everything but AA maxed out at 1280x1024. I don't need good graphics on a console because I want a different way to play. I have a gamecube for conventional controlling, will get a Wii to play in 3D space, and have a PC for the most innovative controller of all, a mouse.

360 FTL.

the wii has the potential to have graphics just a little above xbox, at launch you wont find anything nearly pushing the wii to half of its limits, although the art work in zelda is to die for... give it time and u will see some pretty impressive looking wii games... not ps3 impressive, but wii impressive and thats all that matters.
