slow download speed

it all depends on your internet speed and how many people including the neighbours kids are tearing the ass out of your wirless internet.

i have 10 meg here and it still takes a while to complete its updates so i imagine its going to be installing its own stuff into the box and getting your vital statistics.

well im using usb wifi. and thats most likely not going to be as fast as your regular internet. you can check your connection speeds, my internet connects at 100megs. but my wifi is only at 54megs. but its not slow by any means.

Is it all of a sudden or have you been with slow download speed from the beginning?To increase your internet speed,
* Check to see if faster internet connections are in your area:
Fiber optic and cable internet tend to be faster than DSL and dial-Up. *Do some basic maintenance on your PC:
a scan disk, a virus scan, a malware scan, and clear your recycle bin.An unusually slow Internet connection experience is often the only sign that your computer is infected with viruses or other malware. Delete old files and temporary files.
* Reset Your Modem
Sometimes switching OFF and ON your modem helps you to speed the internet.
* Optimize your cache or temporary Internet files.
These files improve your Internet connection performance by not downloading the same file over and over.
After you have tried some of this,try your connection again using Scanmyspeed.com and see if it's running any faster. If you are not satisfied Call your Internet service provider (ISP) and check whether upgradation of your plan is necessary.
