is there any way of spedding it up??
i have a bt voyager 2500v

Try customer support or call your local retailer. Unless ovcourse you moved the positions of your wii and or router.

double check things through....sounds dumb, but do it

It may not be that you moved the router or the wii, but maybe a new object is between the wii and router, like furniture or somthing of that sort, that could affect the signal. I'd check to see if anything new is between the router and wii.

Sounds like the firewall is misbehaving. Check it and disable it. Hardware firewalls are not needed so long as you have software firewalls (or use Linux  )

Hardware firewalls are mostly for the paranoid.Software firewalls are more than efficient enough for most cases.

Routers only have a broadcast wavelength of a few hundred feet. So try and make sure there is as little distance between the two as possible.
