Speedtouch 585 ADSL gateway

am having problems getting the Wii to connect to this...

"Cannot connect to internet" 52130 and 50100 at different points...

can anyone please help. i have tried Static IP, messing around with the settings and that and dont seem to be getting anywhere!!

first off...is the speedtouch configured correctly to allow you access
to the internet with your pc? (i'm assuming it is seeing as you posted this
message).

ok, you will need to go into the router settings / configuration pages and
ensure that the necessary settings are made to allow other devices to
connect wirelessly.

• enable the wireless access point (if not already)
• check whether MAC filtering is enabled. if so, add the Wii MAC to the allowed list.
• check whether MAC filtering is set to allow or deny...change to allow.
• create a WEP or preferably, a WPA encryption key.

save changes on the router and re-try to connect with the Wii.
