Story Mode MiniBosses

If you've seen today's update you'll see Fox clashing with a Hammer Bro.
But since it's story mode and items probably won't be in it is it at all
possible that some of the Assist Trophy characters will be Mini Bosses?
The Hammer Bro and Samurai Goro would but I'm not sure about a Nintendog.

Would be interesting. I suppose it depends on how big the single player mode will be. I'm hoping for something that will take a while to complete.

Also, it'd be a pretty cool way if Nintendo wanted to update the assitant trophies via the internet - downloading extra missions to get new assistant trophies...

^Adventure mode is side-scrolling and it uses items. I doubt you know what side-scrolling even means.
