To open at christmas or to not?

should i open ma wii at xmas or open it on the 8th.....

My parents said this: Buy the Wii yourself and play it when it comes out, or let us buy it and get it only at Christmas. Being an impatient bastard, I bought it myself.

It works out ok in the end though. Now, I can request a game or two for Xmas.
