this is my first post wow, (that ain't the point)

I have one simple question: Does the wii pick up the wireless signal my router is transponding or do i need a adaptor that would go into the USB port like on my PC?

It picks up the signal directly, because the wii has a wireless receiver built in. Just go to Wii settings, scroll over to the internet tab and click on connection settings. Pick wireless connection and it'll show you all the available wireless connections.

If I plug in a Wireless WiFi Certified Router into my Modem will the Wii pick it up?

You may need to enter the router via your computer and register the MAc adress for the Wii itself.
