What does a wiikey do?

Im new to this and tried searching but what does a wiikey do. From what I got out of it you can play burned games and dvd playback? Someone localy does it for $100 chip and installed, is that good?

You basically answered your question. Just search Wiikey on google and you will find some more Info. I have seen people offering to install the chip for $30 or so. I am not sure what the chip costs though. Good luck.

It's a modchip. You can run backups of games, Gamecube and Wii games. You can play 'burned games'. I think thats about all it does yet <.< Just runs backups.

I'm not sure about that pricing. $100 US? I think thats reasonable, though I'm not really sure about the prices of the wiikey.
