I'll have a couple of friends over sometmes... is this worth it??
I would buy it for the wii-mote but the games are apparently good as well.
games do seem kinnda corny..if i did get it id only get it for the free wiimote
When is the release date?
Feb 12th in Canada...
I missed all the pre-orders tho =T
Yeah, the games are simple, but really good fun.
Look at it this way, if you have friends coming over, you need a bunch of wiimotes, if you buy wii play, you get a wiimote for free, but if you buy a wiimote instead, you get wii play for free.
Defninitely buy it if you have friends coming over, the games are real good fun with a friend.
Wii Play is the only video game my wife ever asks me to play together. Ever.
And contrarily to Wii sports, you can play it while sitting on the couch and smoking a cigarette or having a drink (they use only one hand) so great when people come over !
its just the wii mote right? no nunchuck
Yep, just the wiimote, no nunchucks.
And it should be a little more expensive.
I payed 49€ to get wii play and the wiimote and it's only 39€ for a single wiimote. For 10€ it's still a good deal.
Wii play was only £5 more than buying a Wii-Mote by itself but having bought it the games are pretty poor imo. It would have been nice if they just extended the range of games similar to Wii Sports.
Oh well there's always Wii Sports II
Wii Sports II would be reaaaal nice right about now
wait...it came out in the US??
hmm i preordered it but gamestop hasn't called yet
I would say worth it because it's just like ten buck more than wiimote and it comes with cool mini-games!
what do you mean right now? it wont come out for years
If you need an extra Wiimote, definitely get it. Otherwise, it would be much better to just get a brand new, full retail game instead.
You can play all of the games with the Wiimote however in Tanks! the game where you get a top down view of miniature tanks and you you have to destroy all of the enemy tanks, you can use the Nunchuk.
In Tanks! you use A to drop a mine, B to shoot a shell and the D-pad to move your tank. However it is much easier to use the analog stick on the Nunchuk which you can do.
its suppose to come out on the 12th or 13th in the US.. i forgot which day it is. im not hearing much news since its the only game that is release in the february for the wii. i heard ssx will be pushed back to the first week of march. hopefully it comes out.. it would give me some game time to kill until the good spring releases.
the games in wii-play are much better than people give it credit. simple yet effecive. plus you can't go wrong with the free wiimote with it.
If you got the people to play with then it's definitely worth it in my opinion
for the remote yes.. but the games suck
