Wii Remotes Don't Work!?!???

The batteries are fine in my Wii remotes and flash and everything like that. But they are not syncing with the console. I have tried syncing them. Holding down the player 1 button and checked all the cords and everything on the console. The operations manual does not give any useful info. Please help.

unplug the wii and plug it back in

then sync em

The syncing is annoying. Try syncing it again though (it may take a while to get it right). Make sure you press the red 'Sync' button on the Wii Remote first, then, shortly after, press the red 'Sync' button on the Wii Console. It works.
