Nintendo have announced their info regarding Austrailia.
Thanks for the info.
Hmmm. That's £160. Hopefully this means the UK price will be comparible.
DAM STRAIGHT, JUST READ THAT, WOOT! Wait a minute... Thats bad, i will be in india then... CRAP! dammit, and i will be coming back in Jan. OH ****!
Looking sweet, that mean's us Europeans shouldn't have to wait too long either.
This isn't as bad as I thought it would be actually... only a bit more expensive than I had hoped for, now that I look at it close enough. Hopefully it'll come down after Christmas though, because that is when I'll be back down under.
... Do you think it'll come down in price after Christmas, so soon?
Noooooooo! My Parents Hate Consoles!!!!! I Already Have All The Gameboys There Ever Is And Was And An Xbox And Ps2!!!! I Will Only Have $300 By Christmas!!! I Hate This Price And Don't Think I'm Alone!!!
i feel a weird satisfaction of gettong it one day before you guys (europe)
How can u afford a wii by the time it comes out or even by Christmas if u gonna get extra games or accesories.
I might just get one shipped from the U.S. as they get it earlier, and $250 U.S. = $333 AUS at the mo. Since its such a small and light item shipping costs will be small saving me around $50 . I'll probably do the same for games as we never get the full range here in Oz and always seem to pay more for the ones we do get .
Wii games will be region encoded, so you will have to keep shipping games :O
Sorry for you Aus... looks bad if you are getting very late... and so expensive!
The Japanese Wii traslates into $212 making them the cheapest I think but it dosen't come bundled with Wii Sports
Thought it might be, even after all the talk contrary, bummer.
Thats cheap, and not as far to ship, but I can't speak or read Japanese, I do love Sushi though
Wat do u think will happen if u bought a Wii from a different region and brought it home. Like pretend i got a wii from US (NTSC'/UC) and i came back to Australia (PAL). What do u think woulud happen to all the channels? Do u think i would even be able to go online with it?
You shouldn't have a problem online just like buying a P.C. from overseas, the only thing you need to make sure of is that your TV is NTSC compatible, otherwise it will not display properly, like if you use an NTSC D.V.D. player on a PAL TV, it usually comes out in black and white . The difference is the amount of lines in the image, NTSC is 405 lines on the screen where as PAL is 505 lines, one of the few instances where we in OZ have the better system with a higher resolution
I hate all of this.....im aussie and i made a contract with me mum and dad so that i couldn't spend any of my money until the wii comes out in Australia! ive figured out that i will have only $405 (AUS) left so i cant buy any other Wii controllers or games, second of all $400 (AUS) makes $300 US so that means that australia should get like a free wii controller and nunchuck or something and lastly Y DO Wii(geddit?) HAVE TO GET THE Wii SECOND LAST!!!
im very pleased with the price and the nintendo functions because the PS3 will cost 850-1000 dollars and XBOX 360 cost $650 so im heaps relieved and i like the release date because then ill nhave more money to save up so i can buy some good game titles.
oh and i heard a new super smash bros game is coming out in march.
The price for the Aussies seems a little expensive. Glad I live right above the US! The price for the Wii over here is $275CDN which, correct me if I'm wrong, less than the $399AUS pricetag.
You're a very cruel person however i would probably feel the same way if we got it before you.
I know this might vary from store to store. But i preordered my Wii and put down $50 on it. Would that $50 come off the $400? Also would i get to pick whatever color i wanted? I preordered at EBGames.
