If you need a laptop, keep saving. 2GB of ram to run vista will cost you a 1/3 of your budget :lol:

If you can get a desktop.... There are REALLY good deals out there.

But i agree, for a $400 laptop XP would be better. I don't think a $400 laptop is going to have the graphics card or Highspeed ram to run Vista very well.

XP is better right now due to vista's current software compatibility issues (which is normal).
