Is it against the rules to post links on this site?

I had been lurking for a while.. Found a cool link on Digg.com, registered and posted it. I was banned for no reason??

Was that against the rules? Said I was banned for no reason... I haven't enough posts to PM the mods so that's why I am posting here..

We get literally 10's of people registering daily purely to post links for cheap mobiles, free wii's or to generally promote their own websites.

So if your first post is linking to promote some website then yes you can expect to be removed from the site.
