Metroid Other M

I want to buy metroid: other m but i haven't played super metroid yet but i have finished the prime series. Do they have any connection in the story?? Do you reccomend playing super metroid first or other m?
ps: i don't have any problem with 16 bit graphics.

buy super metroid, it's epic.DON'T BUY other m, it sucks!better to save $20 & watch the parody videos. [i suggest going to tvtropes.com forums & check the videos there]

A quick correction. Other M's noticeable flaw is the damage to Samus' character and the drama/story. Otherwise, graphics and gameplay are excellent and enjoyable.

graphics are great & that's it.prepare to see the death screen every couple minutes fighting a boss. every death will be a cheap one.having to turn the control 90 degrees to fire a missile become very tiresome, same w/ the pixel hunt scenes.not worth it. if it was only 2-d & allowed misdile shooting on the move it'd have been okay.
