My avatar has disappeared

I'd replied to a post and after I'd submitted , I noticed that my avatar no longer accompanied my posts.
My avatar was a picture of the grill badge of the new Nissan "GTR".
I was going to upload the picture again but I thought I'd check to see if I have stepped outside of the rules with that avatar (maybe a copyright issue or something). Or has it just gone and I need to upload it again?
