New subforum suggestion - Everything Sega under the console section

Right now there is no place to discuss Sega information. It seems to get placed randomly in other forums and topics.

I don't mind one, but the only members that I see posting in it on a regular basis are Darkprinny and yourself. But I guess it woudn't hurt if there is interest.

i just don't see this happening. the lounge will just have to do or the vc forum if the sega game in question is available for download

Then I have another idea. Change the name of the "Nintendo Retro" forum to be something along the lines of "Retro Video games" with a sub description of
"Place to discuss all the other older consoles, Genesis,N64,SNES,NES and the legendary game titles that accompanied them."

The SNES and Genesis belong together just like Kirby and Meta Knight.

Why limit yourself?

I have an example for you. Visit the psx-scene Wii section... You will be impressed. They always beat Wiichat to the punch on news. The Wii subforums http://psx-scene.com/forums/nintendo-wii-forums/ have over 30,000 posts at the moment. (and there isn't a pokemon section to help inflate the numbers). Not so say Wiichat is bad but I promise you will learn more in that forum in one day of reading than a week of posts here

Edit: Heh, why does a PS3 and Xbox section exist if this is a Nintendo brand oriented site? In fact they are ABOVE the nintendo forums on the list...

i see your point but on this site, they are trying to reach a common ground with systems that are competing against the wii in sales and also have similar game titles out.

I think your point improves my argument. Competition between the PS3/Wii/XBox360 today is nothing compared to the rivalry that Nintendo and Sega had back in the day. Its hard to think of Mario without thinking of Sonic.

The Nintendo Retro forum is missing the point of being retro which in my mind is to try and recreate the scene of the day.
I think this commercial is a perfect example of just how intertwined the two were. Sega calls Nintendo out directly by name.

I'm gonna go with ciper on this one. i0n probably cares less about the gfx section...but we still have it.

I wouldn't mind a sega section. I wouldn't post there, but it sure would clean the lounge up a bit.

right now, the lounge is just a giant pile. (partly due to me as well).... I don't see why i0n is so against organization atm. :/

Id like to go with my second suggestion changing the name of the NES/SNES/N64 to catch every older console.

It bothers me to know I put so much effort into a forum and its owner is indifferent.
