Pokemon X/Y

Zygarde is worse than Garchomp, both Mega and normal. The only thing Zygarde does better is Coil and Dragon Dance...and Camouflage Extreme Speed if that counts. Kyurem at least has uniqueness in its (pretty bad) typing, and a move that is still not viable competitively but is at least better than, uh, Icy Wind or something.

Hmm, I don't know, Glaciate isn't a terrible move. It can at least secure 2HKO's on some faster opponents.

Garchomp is obviously better, but Coil, Dragon Dance, Extremespeed, and significantly better physical bulk are all notable boons. It's not 100% outclassed.

Glaciate > Icy Wind

On the other hand, Zygarde gets the Earthquake > Land's Wrath treatment. bleh

I also wonder if Zygarde will get an X Forme and a Y Forme in Z. But I doubt it. That, or they'd look nothing like Xerneas / Yveltal, which would be pretty pointless.

So Splash when are you gonna change my avatar back...

[STRIKE]I went inactive with this timing to purposefully keep you Cottonee.[/STRIKE]

... I'd be happy to, but my PC is havin' some troubles that're makin' it currently as useful as scrap metal, and that's where you old avatar is currently stored. Won't be able t' change it back 'til my PC is fixed, sorry t' say...

Hard to calculate IVs since the difference between 1 and 30 are literally a single stat point, but my first one seems better at first glance.

Was gonna go even moar foswa, but those IVs are **** so **** you lolololololololol

I saw a *Gulpin being offered for an Articuno.

People on GTS willingly offering a trade benefiting the other trainer more? ... wat?

Hoopa and Volcanion movesets, stats, and Abilities?

Hoopa certainly looks like the troll it was intended to be, "Mischief Pokemon" with Magician and all.
A base 150 Sp. Attack is massive, and Hyperspace Hole is...one-turn? 80 BP's not bad, I suppose, but Psychic/Psyshock beat it in terms of raw power.
Base 70 Speed is really bad, at least in Ubers where I think (and hope) Hoopa will turn out to be. Fortunately, it learns Trick Room.
130 Sp. Defense is okay, I guess, but base 60 Defense is just-plain ****. Psychic/Ghost has a crippling x4 weakness to both Ghost and Dark, too.
Aegislash's Shadow Sneak will kill it. It also gets Wonder Room and Destiny Bond, but meh. Trick Room > all of them anyway.

I like Volcanion getting Water Absorb. Water's neutral on Fire/Water so it's not necessarily useless, whereas Fire is resisted 4x.
Base 130 Sp. Attack is pretty good, but its stuck at base 70 Speed with Hoopa.
It has a base 110 Attack with Hoopa as well, but only gets Flame Charge and Bulldoze to boost its Speed.
Volcanion...might function as a mixed attacker? With an 80 base HP, 120 Defense and 90 Sp. Defense, Volcanion could possibly be used to cripple.
Its signature move, Steam Eruption, caps at a 110 base power and has 95% accuracy. It has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.
At first glance, Steam Eruption looks like a higher-accuracy Hydro Pump combined with Scald. That is huge. Being able to deal lots of damage while possibly burning your foe is nice. And it's a Water-type attack, too! inb4 scarf / specs volcanion 1v1
Lets not forget Volcanion's amazing Fire/Water typing. Fire/Water is weak to only Ground, Rock, and Electric. It has x4 resistances to Fire, Ice, and Steel, and just x2 resists Bug and Fairy. Steam Eruption takes care of Volcanion's former two weaknesses, and it even gets Earthquake to dispose of the latter. I see Volcanion as something with crazy moveslot syndrome, because it learns things like Solar Beam (Sunny Day), Sludge Wave / Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, Will-O-Wisp, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Flash Cannon. Overheat was intended to be Volcanion's primary Fire-type STAB, but I like that it gets Flamethrower and Fire Blast too. flare blitz and sandstorm lolol

Don't see Hoopa bein' worth much. Defyin' Protect and stealin' items certainly makes it a troll in Doubles, but that typing and Speed don't do it any favors. Perhaps it'l fare better than Celebi, at any rate.

Volcanion on the other hand is essentially what Heatran might look like if it went through Smogon's CAP. Steam Eruption/Overheat is a pretty terrifying STAB combination coming from base 130 Sp.A. Indeed, Volcanion and Heatran will compete with each other in the metagame. The question is, will weakness to Rocks keep Heatran ahead in usage statistics?

also steam eruption only hits one target sadfaec

I want more stallmons :c

What is this? And this? They sound like something straight out of Skyrim...
Likely the same ground type who will probably be important in "Z", as well as the same ground type who happens to have another 90 BP physical ground move as its signature attack.

so tragobvs

I never actually met a shiny Pokémon even once... Except for the red gyarydos in Soul Silver

and I've spend a lot of time in all of my Pokémon games: Ruby, Leaf Green, Soul Silver and Black... No shinies whatsoever... :(

needz moar chaining

I'm a bit disappointed that this is the last time I can ever say it...

Hoenn Confirmed

Goddammit you beat me to it.

My friend thinks that Groudon and Kyogre are getting Megas (as seen on those games' covers). In that case, Groudon better be getting more bulk and Kyogre more Speed, otherwise their regular sets + item would be far superior.

We also had a little talk about how broken it would be if Mega Kyogre got Swift Swim.
