Just got back from that hell hole. First thing game wise I did was buy my pre ordered Amazing Spiderman game. Usually I don't waste time with movie games but Spiderman movie games held promise since Spiderman 2 and the trailers looked go for this one so i said hey, why not.
The games good, just not as good as it could be. If they stuck to the same formula as they did with Spiderman 2 or Ultimate Spiderman while in the Manhattan bits it would have been much better. The web swing mechanics in this game aren't nearly as fluid as in the aforementioned games. For one web swinging around the city doesn't require having something for your web to tether to. Part of what was great about the previous games was that you had to make your route depending on the layout of the city in that area, what would allow for the speediest route to swing through. In this game I can swing several feet over all the buildings while my web just mysteriously tethers to, I dunno clouds? Also you could build up a lot more speed in the other games while web swinging than this one.
Another big problem is the completely lack of stuff to do in the city. Every now and then a domestic disturbance will rise and you can go and stop the crime but it doesn't happen nearly enough. Besides the few blimp missions and wasting time all there is to do is follow the story line. Not to mention a good 85% of the main missions are in inclosed areas instead of the city.
Games not bad, but didn't take hold of its full potential.
