ordered my component cables on nintendo a few min ago...didnt' say nething about backorders

well first make sure your tv can accept a component signal, if so then yes, it will increase your quality! In theory at least, check to see if you can do progressive scan. If not, not really then, maybe picture quality, but you'll still be able to get benefits from it.
