Could the Wii be capable of having good graphics?

gamercon, what are you trying to prove? the wii version looks miles ahead of melee. get your head out of your arrogant ass once in a while.

brawl is far superior to melee in a graphical standpoint. just look at the denim on mario's overalls. its much better in brawl.
Thats a big stick up your ass. Might want to think about removing it.

It had better detail but im not doubting the GC couldnt do that due to Zelda TP.

Brawl looks really good, smooth characters and everything. How much of that detail could they put into an open world? Spiderman 3 was pretty bad. If they cut that into section it would have looked better but they didnt want to do that. This means you wont see as many free roaming games, mostly games like Metriod Prime where each room would load seperatly at the door, vastly limiting the room size depending on how much detail they put into it.

The Wii can have graphics on par with 360, it will trade for as little to render at one time.

they all are good..Wii Sports' graphics are good as well, it's the style that makes your mind confused...great games like Super mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Forever Blue, and even Pokémon Battle Revolution will have amazing graphics, you will see

Twilight Princess came way after Melee. There is a possibility there were updates and more memory available to them when they did TP.

Wii sports was a great looking game because it fit in with it's theme well.

one game shows the graphic power of the wii, zelda, those graphics were amazing

ehh. Some parts were choppy. You're right the graphics were amazing but if you take your time on Hyrule Field and just walk around, you will notice some choppy half-ass graphics.

You can't base graphics in an open world off of spiderman 3. That's like basing the graphical power of the ps3 off of Gundam. Take Zelda for example, I know that it didnt even hit the top of what the wii can do, but it proves that good graphics in an open world for the wii CAN BE DONE!

True, thats something that most of us could you know................... try to agree on, theres no doubt that the wii can put up on of these most awe-inspiring graphics the industry has ever seen!!!

Hopefully it'll start with MP3 and so on

The Wii is capable of anything you've seen on the last gen consoles plus some. Unfortunately, most third-party developers are douchefaces who still view it as a kiddie system and as a result just dump crap graphics onto their half-assed games.

Pricks.

i guess we won't really know how good the graphics will get on the wii unless some games come out.

but as of right now, i seriously doubt that it can be on par with the ps3 or the xbox 360.

look at the screenshots for call of duty 3. the graphics shouldn't be compared to those 2 systems. it's like a joke.

you guys sure are ignorant, there are alot of good games coming with amazing graphics like Disaster, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Forever Blue, Project H.A.M.ME.R., between alot more games, you probably are too busy with your damn PS3 and 360 to know though

3rd party developers DON'T want to make games for it because it lacks power. the industry is growing, and no one likes to work with a console that can't deliver what the developers want. they have 2 other systems that can do it and they will choose those other two over the wii.

no they won't because that would be more expensive, while the Wii is selling millions, and has a sweet controller, which one you think they'll choose to develop games for? Wii of course
