Events non tradable?

I was doing some reading a little bit ago and came across some mentions that people can no longer trade event pokemon...supposedly somethin to do with nintendo doin it because of all the haxored pokes floating around.
Anyone able to confirm or deny this?

It's been like that since the GTS in DPP first went online. Certain ribbons prevent Pokemon from being traded across GTS; ribbons event Pokes often get.

You can still trade 'em locally/with friends over wi-fi, though.
