So how many time do I have to wait till the car is sold??

It can take a while. It's like selling a real car, someone just needs to be interested by it.

You shouldn't worry though, you got the car for free.

Just keep trying crimes and thefts.

Also, try the odd bust-out on the jail. They're not very successful to start but after about 15 tries you'll start succeeding.

Sorry about the double post but this guide will help all new members to GoA.

Star Striker's GoA guide

-------------------------------------------------------------

NEWBIE GUIDE:

Introduction - stolen from site userguide:

Gangs of Arabia is a text-based MMO mafia game set in the Arab world. The ultimate goal in this game is to extend your power through the whole underground society, starting from a poor lowlife character all the way up to a high ranking rich crime boss. Are you up to it? How much will you hold before someone attempt to stop you? Sign-up and start your life on the streets!

Starting out:

You need to start to build up cash and obtain new ranks as soon as possible. To do this you need to do the following.

- DO CRIMES: start off pickpocketing. You wont be very good to start with, but will improve quickly. Once you get to 100% you will fluctuate around for another 20-30 crimes before achieveing your first rank.

- DO CAR THEFTS: Again you wont be too good to start with, but this is the best way to rack up cash quickly. Refer to the selling guide below for tips on selling.

- DRUG DEALS: Buy cheap in one city. Fly to another and sell for more money in another city. There is a price guide pinned in the "Classifieds". Prices do vary but the trends remain the same.

- BUST PEOPLE OUT OF JAIL: will only help your rank and gain respect from your friends. You dont get money for doing this. Again it will take time before you start to bust people out on a regular basis.

- RACETRACK / CASINO: you will more than likely lose your money here rather than gain it. Probably best to avoid.

Advanced tasks:

- ORGANISED CRIMES: you can team up with people to do a 4 man crime job. Probably best not to do these until you are at very least a shoplifter. Each person will need around $30k to particpate in an OC.

- KILLING PEOPLE: You need loads of bullets (at least 1000, upto around 50,000) to kill people. You also have to spend time and money searching for them, even if you know where they are currently. If you fail, you will have a star added to your wanted level. Not really advisable until at least mobster level. You can gain money from this if people are on the hitlist.

There are other tasks that help out, but those are the main ones that will help you rank up and gain cash.

-------------------------------------------------------------

STEALING AND SELLING CARS:

- Stealing cars is hard to start off with, but keep persevering and it becomes easier.
- you can get upto 50% success rate on car stealing
- there are two "rare" steals - the Mazda RX-7 and the Bugatti Veyron.
- if you obtain one of these two cars. Hold onto them, dont be tempted to sell them.

Repair / sell guide

- Do not bother with the black market, it's not worth it. Sell cars using the "Options" menu.
- It costs $10 to repair every 1% of damage for EVERY car.
- If your car is damaged your car loses 2% of its value, per 1% of damage
- cars cannot ever be more than 50% damaged
- it is worth repairing all cars except for the volkswagen beetle (just sell that)

10% damage = 80% value
20% damage = 60% value
30% damage = 40% value
40% damage = 20% value
50% damage = 0% value

Volkswagen Beetle
value with 10% damage: $400
Cost to repair: $100
Value fully repaired: $500
Difference if repaired: $0

Mercedes
value with 10% damage: $800
Cost to repair: $100
Value fully repaired: $1000
Difference if repaired: $100 extra cash on sale

Opel
value with 10% damage: $2400
Cost to repair: $100
Value fully repaired: $3000
Difference if repaired: $500 extra cash on sale

As you can see, it is worth repairing every car except the Beetle as it will get you extra profits. The better the car you are repairing, the more profit you will make.

-------------------------------------------------------------

ORGANISED CRIME:

Checklist:

- You can only do one organised crime per 12 hours.
- large Scale OCs (8 man) are currently disabled.
- You can check if someone is available for an organised crime by clicking on their profile
- It is good idea to use people of semi decent rank for your OC (suggest at least Thug)
- You all need to be in the same city and you need your getaway car to be in that city also.
- You need $101,000 total to have a good chance of succeeding
- Try not to use anyone outside of COYS, as you will be funding other crews.

How to set up an OC:

- Allocate a leader
- Leader starts a new OC from the Organised Crime menu
- Leader clicks on an empty bulletpoint, inputs the username of the person, then selects role.
- Leader then allocates percentage earnings for each crew member (on success)
- Driver selects car to use and adds fuel.
- lockpick and Lookout buy their equipment here.
- everyone clicks on ready
- leader double checks to make sure everything is correct
- leader clicks the Commit button
- hopefully you have just made $200-$300k between the four of you.

Costs:

Leader - $30,000 (to start the OC)
Driver - $15,000 (fuel) + one high performance car (either Mazda or Bugatti Veyron)
Lockpick - $28,000 (purchase the Advanced kit - the most expensive)
Lookout - $28,000 (purchase the "sweep the area" kit - the most expensive)

Total = $101,000 + a high performance car.

Suggested percentage splits (In order of leader / driver / lockpick / lookout)

With Mazda RX7 - 27/23/25/25
with Bugatti - 27/27/23/23

-------------------------------------------------------------

GUN / ARMOUR PURCHASE & TRAINING:

Gun purchasing:

1) Buy springfield
2) Train to 100% - this allows you to upgrade to the glock
3) Buy glock (this displaces the springfield)
4) Train to 100% - this allows you to upgrade to the desert eagle
5) Buy desert eagle (this displaces the glock)
6) Train to 100% - this allows you to upgrade to the mp5
7) Buy mp5 (this displaces the desert eagle)
8) Train to 100% - this allows you to upgrade to the AK47
9) Buy AK47 (this displaces the mp5)

- You train to be able to upgrade. Having 100% training does not make you shoot more accurately.
- DO NOT SELL YOUR GUNS, YOU WILL LOSE ALL TRAINING!

Protection purchasing:

1) buy soft vest
2) buy titanium vest (this displaces the soft vest)
3) buy german shepherd (this displaces the titanium vest)
4) buy bodyguard (this displaces the german shepherd)
5) buy armoured car (this displaces the bodyguard)

Hope that clears it up.... it's an upgrade system.

Don't worry. It takes about 1000 to 50,000 bullets to kill someone so only someone wealthy can kill you. Others can wound you but you can heal in the hospital.

Ah Cool, are the rich people pretty 'sound' or are they just noobs?

They wouldnt waste time on me anyways, they would only attack enemies?

I don't like the fact you have to wait 2 minutes before committing a crime again lol =/

And it's really confusing when I'm in jail, it tells me to chose someone to bust out, but then it tells me I can't bust someone out

2 mins ain't that long ;)

The bust out option is only for when you're not locked up. You can break people out to build up your skill.

It's hard and takes time to become skilled at it. I still haven't broke anyone out.

I'm using the Black Market like the property market, buying cars that have been underpriced and selling them on for a profit.

Jam

They mainly attack property owners or Crew bosses. You're not a threat............yet. ;)
