Hdtv Wii

Its just a cable

It wont make PS2 a high deffanition console becuase thats a hard ware thing
its most probably a VGA cable all pc moniters are hd

It does 480p which is progressive scan you cannot due progressive on a standard def so the component cables being sold for the Wii available at launch would need to be on enhanced/HDTV or the standard def TV would need to display in 480i, progressive scan is a big enhancement and also in japan you can get a dvi-d cable would would hook straight to some monitors and projectors and give a great picture also, obviously not 720/1080p quality but most people won't notice a huge difference anyways.

"Driven by proprietary Xploder software, you simply put the disc in the PS2 console and use the simple on-screen interface to select the optimum configuration for your system (HD, ED or VGA modes) from the options menu. The details are automatically saved to your memory card, so there’s no need to reconfigure the settings every time you use your console."

its not just a cable. its software and they supply a component cable with it.
