don't try to figure us out.... just buy us chocolate and roses and make us feel pretty.
Deal babeh. :]

Seriously though, just take her advice...she is a girl after all. :rolleyes:

As far as girls calling each other goes, I'm guessing it's because every girl knows deep down inside that being fat is just about the ultimate insult for a girl. Partially because of all the outstanding standards that society and the media puts on girls to be "pretty". This all goes back to the need for individuality, and that beauty isn't something defined.

I mean, I'm not a girl.....but that's my best guess:lol:

*runs into thread with chocolates and roses* ooooo, so pretty.

whoops, what's that? *makes sure binoculars are better hidden*

</spam ahaahaha>

@ tank, I think the first step into making a girl feel pretty is not having PORN in your signature. :lol:

A lot of women feel insecure. I think that some feel that insulting others makes them feel better about themselves. I can say this stuff because I'm a girl. I'm not beautiful and I don't put others down but some women feel they have to. It doesn't help when you see tall skinny gorgeous models all over tv.

What do you guys/girls think? Guys seem to be more straight-up, while girls seem to try to make the situation as nasty as possible and really drag out the whole insulting process... Share your opinions!
That's not an opinion question. It's a fact that guys and girls are different. If they weren't, well, we'd all be gay - but there would be a lot of outcasts with vaginas...

I was just talking about this with this girl from my class on AIM. (me and her are real close so it isn't awkward). She says that in a way it can be kind of like instinct. Things like someone calling her fat doesn't bother her at all (she isn't lieing because I can read her like a book. Yes even over AIM). Also, for her, she doesn't say things like that, but she can't speak for other girls though.

I've never really considered myself hard to figure out. I've been in about one insult match with another girl, but that was back when "talk to the hand" was a major diss...

I don't think I would ever use just the plain term fat to insult someone

because I myself don't consider it to be one. I don't know, its probably because of my personality. I'm a total tomboy, love hiking, used to kick box some, all that stuff. I've been called a dyke but, it doesn't hold a lot to me... The things that really sting though, are that they actually think they're smart saying what's already been said before to diss someone. For the girls as well as a guys.

I've seen insulting matches between guys before

and those usually do break out into fights... though girls fight too. Also from what I gathered from fights I saw while I was in public school, it didn't matter who actually won the fight, but who was more popular. In my view, thats more questionable than the methods which gender uses in fights.

Edit: Oh, how about this? What about when a guy asks a girl out, and the girl turns him down, why does it mostly end with the guy insulting the girl?
