Yeah, but he could copy their powers too maybe in SSB4, just an idea. There wouldn't be a crapload of powers, maybe like 3 or 4.

But this is Super Smash Bros, not Super Overcomplicated Bros

that aint complicated lol

I think that's a great idea, actually. Some items certainly wouldn't be compatible (Kirby would spit out things like Pokeball or Assist Trophies which then activate, he'd just eat food rather than turn into a fridge a'la Crystal Shards, etc.), but that'd be pretty damn interestin'. Eat a beam sword, Kirby gets the classic Sword hat. Nom on Spicy Curry rather than picking it up, and he gets the fire dash he had as his dash attack back in Melee. Eating items would essentially be like eatin' enemies in the actual Kirby games.

Why can't he just use the item? Kinda pointless.

To give 'em more hats. You cannot argue with this.

No, that would mean only Kirby would have access to said hats. Obviously, SSB4 needs to add further customization.

And on that note, I'd go find those few pages 'bout how Mii character customization could work in-game and such; if I weren't lazy. Someone do the [STRIKE]leg[/STRIKE]fingerwork for me, yeah?

That's good. And probably a time limit or something to keep the players from abusing them.
After all, when you inhale an enemy, you want to keep its powers forever, right?

I don't see it being overpowered in adventure mode

Who's bein' arbitrary now? :p Stale moves exist for a reason. Either way, Kirby loses his hat if he gets smacked around too much. A time limit on top'a that would be pointless.

... I don't see why there ain't much vocal support for Kirby's copy ability t' take into account items. Eatin' items to get rid'a 'em rather than use 'em leaves Kirby open and is therefore useless as is, so the easter egg in which Kirby can eat anythin' to get a new move actually becomes a viable ability in a match with items on. If a player doesn't want t' copy an opponent's character 'cause their Neutral B is ****/they don't like it, they can get an item hat instead.

The only reason I can see against this is that Kirby will be gettin' a rather detailed move no one else in which no one else has a move of complexity anywhere near close, and that's a bloody weak argument since Kirby's Neutral B is already a complex move in that it's a different move for every damn character on the cast. That, and we all know Sakurai plays favorites. I'm lookin' at you, Meta Knight...

I think that Kirby needs some more abilities that don't rely on the enemy using the right charater.

Kirby really does not rely on any character
Most Kirbys would rather spit you out and predict your next move than to copy your ability

or kirbycide if ur link trollolololol

Only if the foe doesn't have a good ability t' copy. Havin' your own Whorenado, 'nades or Fireballs can be a lot more valuable than a one-time mindgame setup.

Kirby's up air chains can be more effective than a fire ball
if you rely on the ability then you loose the advantage when you loose the ability
