Blue:
Blastoise
Charmeleon
Bulbasaur
If Blue was to be playable (which he really shouldn't be, Generation I is represented more then enough -_-), I'd say Alakazam/Machamp/Arcanine or something. We don't need Kanto starters for two characters.

This would be the greatest day of all time.

I now know how truly twisted your mind is... You'd be the next Bush if elected president, except worse. "Carp? Shark? Nonsense! The only fish species we need alive is bass. Fish the rest to extinction!"

Ephraim is also likely because he is non-sword user and a lord. Plus he is in a DLC for FE: Awakening
(Which also has Roy and Lyn and others)

Unless fan support skyrockets for a specific retro FE character, I'd imagine the main protagonist from Awakening would get in sooner than Ephraim or Lyndis... Considering Roy had a slot in Melee, support from both fans 'n Ninty to bring 'em back will likely be larger than for other old FE characters too. Which disappoints me, 'cause I'd love to see either of the two make it into Smash. =/

If it's just because they're coming to WiiU, then can we get Bayonetta?

I can only imagine Snake's Bayonetta codec.
Pokemon trainers can just be reskins.

Much as I would demand N get into SSB4, I am sadly obliged to agree. The stars of Pokemon are the species after all, not the trainers. If there're gonna be more Pokemon character slots, a new trainer likely won't be the priority, much as N deserves a slot. It's not impossible, but I doubt Ninty will take that route. If it comes t' that, I'd hope N replaces Red.

So I was thinking....what Pokemon should N have in SSB4 if he appears? Besides Zoroark

Good question. Reshiram and Zekrom obviously wouldn't work. If they won't scale down Ridley, they sure as **** won't scale down members of the Tao trio. You're forgettin' that those two are many, many times bigger than any bloody Charizard bro.

Blue:
Blastoise
Charmeleon
Bulbasaur

THAT AINT [STRIKE]FALCO[/STRIKE] RED

.....you're a fool.

And you're terribly biased for 'mons, stop bein' unrealistic ya fanboy.

Come to think of it, Roy was the latest Fire Emblem Lord at the time
That probably means Chrom will be in the next Smash

I'm not being unrealistic, the fact is that Pokemon Trainers will simply not be reskins. It can be argued that characters such as Red/Rosa/Hilda are not significant enough to have their own character, but since they would use different Pokemon, they would have to have their own slot. N would have his own slot, he's too damn significant to be a mere skin. Saying that N should/will be a skin is as foolish as saying that Wolf should be a skin of Fox.

Ah, I missed your point. Figured you were sayin' N realistically deserves a slot that Ninty would take initiative on rather than that. Agreed in regards t' N. The other protagonists (ya play as) however, no. If their manga counterparts ain't taken into account; which they shouldn't since Smash stars characters from games; they've absolutely no personality nor specific Pokemon they use.

Lucky good ol' Red (and Blue for that matter) had their reappearances in GSC.

Yay, somebody who agrees with that point.

You're correct, I just meant that Hilda/Rosa would probably use the Gen V starters if they were to appear. Thus why I think they should get their own slot. But again, rethinking it, maybe N is more likely then them in the first place. I seem to have neglected to take into account his popularity.

I don't think popularity is a very decisive factor in Smash Bros.
It helps get characters in, this is undeniable. I believe Pit, for example, got in due to popular demand. Many get in due to sheer importance, of course.
