The Post-Game Thread (now with moar games!)

1. How does a Pinsir lose to a frickin Venonat in the bug catching contest?

2. My entire team has Pokerus, apparently. This has happened in at least three games. Wish my lucky with Pokerus could be converted into luck with shinies.
You mean if shiny pokemon could pass on it's shinyness

Heartgold team so far. Just beat Morty.

Quilava (Pypyro) lv. 25
Cranidos (Cometbash) lv. 24
Magnemite (Chair) lv. 24
Wobbuffet (Avocado) lv. 21

The last two names are some of the more creative nicknames I've given to a Pokemon.

This team is really slow, I'm getting deja vu from White 2. Tentacruel and Mantine are currently my main options for the water type. Tentacruel because its stats are exactly what I'm looking for, but I like Mantine more as a Pokemon. Gah.

I'll pick up Tangela whenever possible.

Odd. If you thought Skyrim was exciting, Oblivion will blow you away. But as I've mentioned, my gripe with the game is that stupid leveling system. I do give props to Skyrim for at least fixing that. If you somehow got a leveling mod, the game becomes incredible. I think it might just beat Morrowind as a favorite. I'll wait until I finish the main quest before deciding.

T'is what I'm hopin' for.

What's wrong with Oblivion's levelin' mechanics?

Encounterin' Pokerus on three separate playthroughs is far less likely than findin' three shinnies.

Enemies scale in power with you, resulting in everything feeling dull. No challenge or need to retreat 'til your stronger. However, it also means you can do anything from the get-go. It's still stupid.

... Skyrim also has scaling for 99% of enemies. Challenge only comes from playin' on the highest difficulty, in which case every fight is unfair 'less you've broken the game (and even then...). Oh, and Legendary-ing skills.

I ragequit after it dropped me from lv. 7 to lv. 1.

I'll settle for having Chair use Thunder while holding a Wide Lens, since it won't learn Discharge for a while. Pypyro should learn Lava Plume somewhat soon, and Fire Blast has shitty PP anyway. A bit irritated I won't be able to teach my future water-type Ice Beam, but Tentacruel and Mantine have other options anyway, if I do use them.

Edit: I guess I have Ice Beam in Soulsilver. Huh. I also hacked Rock Slide onto Cranidos, and I swear it will be the only time I cheat in the game. I wasn't just gonna wait until I beat Brock. Aint dealin' with Rock Tomb and its relative suck for that long.

Creating new superawesometaculargamebreaking sets of armor is enjoyable for the same reason why I used t' get so engrossed in theorymon-ing.
