Playing gamecube games problem

Im sure its not just my Wii that does this. Several of my Gamecube games have minor glitches and major frame rate slow downs when I play them on my Wii. Tony Hawk's Underground for example is worse in single player and slows down brutally in multiplayer, especially in Vancouver. I had hopes of faster load times and less frame rate drops but thats not the case. I guess I won't smash my Gamecube just yet. Has anyone else noticed more framerate drops compared to Gamecube
