Waiting for the Wii. What's your "method"?

i have to say that i am used to waiting for new consoles to be released..

but as i keep downloading new video clips, it gets harder

here is my very ... Good strategy :p [ I did not do this lol ] :
Study Hard. When Studying print out a Picture of the wii. Get a Picture portrait to fit your wii picture in laying around the house. While studying for school , YES SCHOOL AND NOT ON WHAT FEATURES WII HAS, Use it as a motivation to work harder... Then get 90%+ Grade Average at school and tell your mom to preorder the wii for you because your doing so great at school . When wii comes out.. Stop that nonsense and let your grades go back to normal... Oh wait first tell your parents that you want to make a deal if you get 85%+ Grade average at school your parents will buy a wii for you and preorder.. If not tell them that you will buy it yourself and give them 30$ each xD ...
*Warning: Not my fault if you lose money okay?*

I'm just passing the time anyway I can. I'm getting so tired of hearing how everyone has pre-ordered and I can't. Apparently no retailers in the USA are smart enough or able enough to start pre-orders like they have in various other countries.

I'm also tired of pre-order people telling me not to worry and that there will be enough. I'm tired of reading that Amazon thread where all the people that got a pre-order are telling everyone not to worry . . . then why did you pre-order?

Also I recently read an article that says the Wii supply might go fast (even with the larger than expected production).

http://news.postbulletin.com/newsmanager/templates/localnews_story.asp?a=270659

I was at WiiSpace (a similar site) when someone was talking about advertising and they were lamenting that Nintendo didn't advertise enough on T.V. They said they were worried about not enough people buying the Wii and it dying out because of lack of interest. Pfffft!

I replied and told them, "You don't need to worry about that. WORRY ABOUT GETTING ONE AT RELEASE."

I'm tired of people telling me not to worry. They usually are the people that have pre-orders. No reason to pre-order if there is an ample supply. This machine is going to fly off the shelves.

I'm the guy that doesn't go two days early and form a line waiting for the console. I'm the guy who walks in excited and asks for something then walks away disappointed everytime because it is sold out.

My little rant. Just tired of people telling me matter of factly that there will be enough Wii (while they drool and stare at their pre-order receipt). I don't think a lot of people understand the frenzy this system has created.

Thanks,

JD

I pre-ordered mine last week on play.com but that doesnt mean i get to have a console too on the day it is being released since its a first come first serve basis. And they dont say if you are one of those that will get it on theday. We can all just hope that either we get there early or there is enough to go around.

Same thing I did before I pre-ordered my Wii... I got on with my life...
o_O;; Anyone else kinda weirded out/annoyed with this guys attitude? He's kinda acting like he knows more than everyone and is better than everyone. >_>

I spend my time reasearching ever detail of the wii and keeping tabs on all the major game news sites while playing ds and msging ppl on msn

I've been drinking poppy tea to keep my mind at ease. My mind is so incredibly hectic, gonna have to sell a game account before I can even buy it but know I will easily get $500 out of the account so it's all good. Gosh, hard to wait.
