What Rating Will IGN Give Brawl???

Please enlighten me on how you can rate a game without comparing it to anything. You are COMPLETELY unbiased, meaning you have never played a video game in your entire life. I give you a game and tell you to rate it, how can you do it?

Saying you are rating a game without comparing it to other games is extremely hypocritical.

Here's my point.

Super Mario Galaxy:
Graphics - 9.5

Halo 3:
Graphics - 9.0

It's not that they don't compare games. It means they rate the games according to the system.

Super Mario Galaxy had the best graphics... For the Wii...
Halo 3 had decent graphics... For the Xbox360...

Outstanding on Wii. The first Wii title that looks like it's really pushing the console. Great art combines with great tech for stunning results. Runs in 480p and 16:9 widescreen.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

There is no 'Online' catagory on the IGN ratings. Online falls under gameplay. Smash Bros. already has a winning formula. I think the online is just a bonus.

Yeah, I see IGN giving it a 9.4-10. I definitely don't see online being a big deal on the score. (I see myself hardly playing online at all) My guess, if I had to choose a precise number would have to be 9.8...
